Description
The Basic Pistol class is for someone who wants to learn the proper way to safely and responsibly use handguns. Topics covered include: Firearm Basics (Revolver/ Pistol), What to look for when purchasing a firearm, Shooting Fundamentals, Gear and Gadgets, and Basic/Advanced Skills. At least 1.5 hours will be live fire on the indoor range applying these shooting fundamentals.
You do not need to own a gun to take the class. Class firearms available. Live fire is on indoor range Are you interested in learning about the different types of pistols and how to safely operate them? Want to learn the fundamentals of shooting and become more accurate? This class if for you. It provides the student with the knowledge needed to safely handle and shoot a handgun.
Register now to reserve your spot. Youth welcome to attend also. The course consists of discussions of the following areas:
*Universal safety rules
*Basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for owning and operating a pistol safely. *Provides a hands-on introduction to the safe handling and proper orientation to one or more pistol action types (learn about pistols prior to purchasing one).
*Pistol parts and operation *Ammunition types
*Shooting fundamentals
*Provides an introduction to defensive shooting fundamentals
*Range rules The course culminates with live fire on a range. You do not need to own a firearm to take this course.
Bring your own handgun or contact us to use a class handgun. Youth may also attend with an adult. Students may receive an Certificate of Completion. Contact us with any questions or to register.
