Cobra Tactical has been in business since 2003. We incorporated in 2007 then got our firearms manufacturing and dealer license in 2012. We now have our SOT and work closely with government agencies as a supplier for firearms and ammunition. 

Eric Larson began shooting firearms with his father, a former LAPD officer, at an early age of 5 years old. Over the years of using firearms at the range and hunting, Mr. Larson learned to respect firearms and appreciate their technology. In 1989, Mr Larson joined the US Marine Corps and earned his Expert Rifle and Pistol on the M16-A2 and the Beretta M9. Eventually Mr. Larson had the privilege of being issues an M16-A2-M203 which was his primary weapon. Mr. Larson was an 0341 Mortarman which requires several parts to be effective. The 60mm and the 81mm Mortars are an indirect fire weapon that require gunner, A-Gunner, Ammo-man and additional support, along with a fire Direction Control (FDC) and often a Forward Observer (FO). In addition, Mortars often work directly with air assets specifically with Forward Air Controller and even directly with pilots. Ultimately this this amounts to Mr. Larson being able to comprehend and translate different areas where tactics and firearms are brought to bear. In the last three years of Marin service, Mr. Larson was acting Non-Commissioned Officer Training Instructor. While also part time and full time Platoon Sergeant for 81mm Mortars. Mr Larson also was fortunate to work with several foreign and domestic military entities including the British Royal Marines (BRM) and Army (BRA), the Japan Self-Defense Forces (JSDF), and Philippine Marine Corps (PMC).

While not directly related to his firearms skills, Mr.  Larson is a licensed Engineering Geologist in the State of California. 
Mr. Larson is a licensed Federal Firearms Manufacturer and Dealer FFL07 and holds a SOT-2. 

During a short period, Mr. Larson was assisting his friend Matt Sigloch on several Television and other Movie ventures as a military and law enforcement personnel extra and tactical advisor. Mr. Larson was fortunately to work with some amazing people. During this time Mr. Larson enjoyed working on shows such as NCIS, Criminal Minds, CSI -Las Vegas, CSI- Miami, CSI-New York 24 and several others.   

Mr Larson began to see the need for one on one training. In order to improve himself, he began taking classes and training and ultimately earning his NRA Training Instructor Certifications and Range Safety Officer. 

Cobra Tactical understands the importance of safety and real word firearms handling and tactics. We impress upon our students’ core skills that will last a minimum of a lifetime, but value to benefits of training those with kids to be able to teach your kids. 

We understand the value of the small class environment and believe it is immensely more beneficial to the individual student vs a larger class.
