Description
Pistol mounted optics aren’t coming; they are here! This course focuses on how to teach the optic for reactive and proactive use, while taking legal and human factors into consideration, while addressing what does and doesn't change with the PMO. Students will develop a knowledge-based foundation for addressing equipment, training, program and policy development concerns.

Expectations and Outcomes
Students will develop a knowledge-based foundation for addressing equipment, training, program, and policy development concerns. They will be able to implement an agency's pistol mounted optics transition program.

Documentation Requirements
Completion of a state (POST, TCOLE, etc) or nationally recognized (NRA-LEAD, FBI) L/E firearms instructor course -or- Rangemaster's Advanced Instructor course.

Requirements
650 rounds of reliable pistol ammunition, mid to full size handgun w/optic, proper holster, three magazines with pouches, and a suitable belt. Eye & ear protection, appropriate range attire for the weather conditions. Note taking materials, fluids and snacks.
