Description

First Shots Pistol exposes new gun owners to the fundamentals of firearm safety, safe storage, shooting a handgun, and other aspects of being a new gun owner.

It is appropriate for new shooters as well as those who may not have been to the range in a while.

A few things the class includes:

- Safe firearm handling
- Firearm parts and operation (both revolvers and semi-autos)
- Ammunition and its function
- Fundamentals of pistol marksmanship
- Basic considerations for the care, storage, and maintenance of your handgun
- Discussion of various shooting activities
- Introduction to the Georgia laws regarding Concealed Handgun Carry
- Information on how to apply for your concealed weapons license

For our First Shots class, we supply everything you need for a hassle-free class; Firearm, Ammo, Eye and hearing protection, all at no additional charge. This class includes use of our laser SIRT guns, as well as live fire on the range with pistols we provide.

- Course duration: 9:00 am to 12:30 pm
- Location: 17 South Rod and Gun Club, Hwy 17 South, Richmond Hill, GA
- Pre-requisite: NONE

- Student requirements: Eye protection if you have, ear protection if you have, a good attitude, and the desire to learn about firearms safety. We will provide eye and ear protection if you do not have your own.
- Recommended equipment: Hat, sunscreen, insect repellent and water.

Congratulations on your successful registration for the upcoming class with GTAC. Be sure to confirm your date, time, and location. Directions to 17 South Rod and Gun Club are available online. Once you have entered the gate, follow the road to the clubhouse. Park on either side and come on in! We look forward to an informative, safe, and challenging class with you.
