Description
The NRA Basics of Personal Protection Outside The Home Course is designed for intermediate shooters who wish to learn firearm use for self-defense. It necessitates prior proficiency in safe gun handling and basic marksmanship. This course is not for beginners and demands advanced shooting skills.
This intensive course requires students to learn and practice a variety of shooting skills to quickly and effectively respond to a wide array of threats they may face outside the home.

Requirements
Prerequisite:
Before enrolling in the PPOTH course, students should have:
Completed the NRA Personal Protection In The Home, or both NRA Personal Protection In The Home/Defensive Pistol certification or demonstrate equivalent defensive pistol skills
Complete and pass the safety test
The ability to shoot three 5-shot groups, each 9 inches or smaller, at 15 feet using the handgun intended for use in the course
Student are required to bring their firearm, strong-side holster, concealed carry garment with a baseball cap, 3 magazines or speed loader and 100 rounds of ammo.
