Description
The Maryland Civilian Wear and Carry course provides the required 16 hours of instruction for individuals applying for a Maryland Wear and Carry Permit. This training is designed to build safe, responsible, and legally informed handgun carriers by combining classroom instruction with practical, live-fire range exercises.

Maryland laws on carry, transport, and use of force
Situational awareness and conflict avoidance
Responsibilities of armed citizens
Proper storage, maintenance, and care of a handgun
4 Cardinal Rule of Firearm Safety
7 Basic Fundamentals of Marksmanship & Nomenclature
Live-fire drills and accuracy development
State-required qualification course of fire
Expectations and Outcomes
Students who complete all training hours and pass the live-fire qualification of 70% or better, receive documentation for submission with their Maryland Wear and Carry Permit application.

Requirements
Prerequisuite: Basic firearm knowledge or a current Maryland HQL is strongly recommended, but not required. Student is strongly encourage to have their own firearm, but not a requirement.
