At Tactical Survival Solutions we strive to build confident shooters to survive modern day threats. Here, we provide realistic and easy to understand training courses that help students understand the "bigger picture" so that they may identify the current state of their training and where their skills need to improve. It is our goal to help as many law-abiding citizens improve firearm skills and build mindsets to better protect - themselves, their families and communities.

Scotty Morris and Matthew Clinton are co-owners and instructors of Tactical Survival Solutions - a Hattiesburg-based business, located in South Mississippi. They discovered their passion for firearms instruction during their current profession in law enforcement. With more than two decades of combined experience between both military and law enforcement, Scotty and Matthew understand how modern-day threats can be deterred with adequate firearms training.

Scotty's formal firearms experience began when he joined the United States Marine Corps in 2001. His first few years in the Marines were spent preparing for the war in Iraq where he served one tour in 2004. His contract with the military ended in 2005 and in 2007, he graduated from Hattiesburg Police Department’s academy. He has since served for more than 13 years. Throughout his career, he has worked in a variety of capacities including: patrol, special operations, traffic and the Special Tactics and Response (STAR) team. He is currently the assistant commander for the sniper team with STAR.

Matthew's firearms experience began as a child shooting and hunting with his grandfather, and his formal training began shortly after joining the United States Marine Corps in 2004. After his military service, he graduated from the Hattiesburg Police Department’s academy in 2008 and has since spent the last 12 years serving in several capacities, including patrol, traffic, special operations and the Special Tactics and Response (STAR) team - where he serves as the assistant commander of the entry team. He is currently a lieutenant in special operations. During his time with the police department, he has earned several firearms and tactical related instructor certifications. This training has greatly enhanced his knowledge on the subject and has given him the skills needed to pass on to others.

At Tactical Survival Solutions, we look forward to using our formal skills and techniques to build better, more confident shooters - across a variety of skills and training levels.

Policies

Reschedule Policy

Please contact instructors via email if you need to reschedule a course. We recommend this be done within 14 days of the scheduled course date.

Refund Policy

• If you cancel 30 days or more before the class date, you will receive a 50% refund
• If you cancel 15-29 days before the class date, you will receive a 25% refund
• If you cancel less than 14 days before the class date, you will receive no refund

Waiver

Firearms Training Agreement-Release And Waiver Of Liability

  I hereby assume all risk by agreeing to the following:

1. That I am voluntarily participating in the Firearms Training Course by Tactical Survival Solutions, LLC, or any legal representatives. I understand the risks and hazards involved and I recognize serious and life-threatening injuries can occur while carrying or using a firearm, participating in class or later from the materials presented, whether caused by the passive or active negligence of Tactical Survival Solutions, Forrest County, Mississippi, and the firing range and its entities or otherwise.
2. I understand that it is my responsibility to consult with a physician prior to and regarding my participation in class. I represent that I am physically fit and I have no medical, psychological, or any other condition, which would prevent my pull participation in the firearms class.
3. I realize that liability may arise from negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons or entities being released, from dangerous or defective equipment or property owned, maintained, or controlled by them or because of their possible liability without fault.
4. In consideration of being permitted to participate in the activities of the firearms training class, I agree to assume full responsibility for any and all risks, injuries, or damages, known or unknown, which I might incur as a result of participating in the class.
5. In further consideration of being permitted to participate in the firearms training class, I, my legal heirs, executors, administrators, next of kin, successors, or legal representatives knowingly, voluntarily, and expressly waive, release, discharge, hold harmless and promise to indemnify and covenant not to sue Tactical Survival Solutions, or its representatives, Forrest County, Mississippi and the firing range; their agents, facilities owner, officers, director, shareholders, employees, instructors, volunteers, or representatives from any and all injuries or damages of whatsoever kind and nature that I may sustain as a result of participating in the firearms training class, or of direct or indirect use of the instruction of the class. I understand that this type of training may result in minor injuries such as bruises and lacerations.
6. I certify that I am over the age of twenty-one (21) years and I am legally entitled to own and use a handgun and/or firearm.
7. I agree that any provisions of this release are held to be invalid, nevertheless, the balance of the release shall continue in full force and effect.
8. I agree that if the instructor(s) believes that I am or will be involved in criminal activity, the instructor will expel me front the class with no refund. I also agree to hold the parties covered in this waiver are not liable for slander and/or libel as part of being expelled.
9. I agree that if the instructor(s) believes that I am or will be unsafe or dangerous, the instructor will expel me from the class with no refund. I also agree to hold the parties covered in this waiver are not liable for slander and/or libel as part of being expelled.
10. I understand that photos and video may be taken during the course and agree that my image may be used for advertising and that extreme close up frontal facial angles and names will not be published without prior approval.
11. I understand that I must sign this release of liability and fully comprehend the structure and nature of the class, and also the risks involved before being allowed to participate in this class. I have read the above release and waiver of liability and full understand its contents. I have been informed of all risks involved and I voluntarily agree to the terms and conditions stated above.
