Rick Billington is a professional firearms instructor and founder of Michigan Pistol Academy, specializing in defensive pistol training, concealed carry, and civilian response to critical incidents. He is a certified instructor through the National Rifle Association (NRA) and the United States Concealed Carry Association (USCCA), and also serves as a certified Range Safety Officer (RSO), ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols both on and off the range.

Rick’s background includes close collaboration with members of the law enforcement community, allowing him to incorporate real-world use-of-force principles, threat assessment, and tactical decision-making into his training programs. His instruction is designed to move beyond static range shooting and prepare students for dynamic, high-stress encounters.

He teaches Michigan Concealed Pistol License (CPL) certification courses along with advanced topics such as defensive shooting fundamentals, situational awareness, home and church security planning, and emergency response protocols, including "Run, Hide, Fight."
